Food was great, definitely a YES if you are located in Paddington. Very reasonably priced as well as delicious.
Personnel needs a bit of a refresh on presence,… read more human skills, communication.
Ventilation of the venue needs to be improved 100% after dinner you all take part of the restaurant with you.
I booked this restaurant for myself and 2 colleagues given its reviews and proximity to Paddington station. When you first walk in the decor is not what was expected but… read more more than made up for by the food and service – both of which were very good.
We had a selection of starters and main courses, accompanied with Roti’s and Rice. There was no pressure to hurry and the food was very reasonably priced and tasty.
I would definitely visit again. I scored it as Very Good – not because of the quality of the food or service but purely because of the decor and ambiance which needs a little more TLC but nonetheless it was a most enjoyable evening.
Ordered a way too expensive meal from this place via Deliveroo, guess what… ok wait for it, its an Indian Restaurant but they forgot to put rice in with my… read more order!! Yeah kind of incredible really, waited much too long too. Couldnt eat the curry without rice, I mean you cant can you? Called the restaurant directly to try to get some remedy, guy is there on his own and cant help even though he admitted his mistake. So I would avoid at all costs ordering online from this restaurant. There are plenty more, better equipped to get you the meal you pay for during this trying time.
We chose this restaurant for a curry as it was rated the best one in the vicinity of our hotel. I wish we hadnt have bothered. Despite the pictures, the… read more tables are not laid with table cloths and although cotton napkins are provided it doesnt give a great first impression to see stained wooden tables. We were sat near the bar and for some reason, every time the waiters went past they bashed into me, which made it unpleasant as we squashed further in to avoid this. The poppadums and chutneys were average but it was the main dishes that were the real issue. I ordered a lamb Pasanda which is normally as mild as a korma. My husband ordered a chicken dish that was medium. However, when the dishes arrived the pasanda was hotter than the chicken dish! Fortunately we had mushroom bhaji on the side so I just ate that and some of the breads. None of the breads were fresh – all tasted cash and carry bulk buy rather than made in house. The walls were in desperate need of a paint and the bar area had a broken and peeling surround. If a restaurant cant pay attention to the state of its front facing facilities then heaven only knows what the kitchen must be like. I did tell the waiter that my dish was medium spicy and not mild as expected. He agreed that it should have been as spicy as a korma and offered to tell the chef. Every time the main door opens it sends an icy chill through the restaurant and some of the diners stayed in their coats if they were next to the door. There are some great looking restaurants in this area and I would suggest you eat in one of those rather than here.
Lovely food and brilliant service . The restaurant looks tired and in need of decoration but don’t let that put you off as food was delicious
Welcomed into nice warm environment with a smile. We were advised there was seating at the back but chose to seat just opposite the bar, tables are close together but… read more not a hinderance. Did not have a starter but had some popadoms and chutneys and they were very nice. The vegetable curry was just as requested and the chilli chicken was madress spice level and just right. The Naan though, they were delicious ! Fresh and just nice. Overall a great experience, I would make a point of going back.
Really great indian food at an affodable price in London! Calm atmosphere after a busy day. Lovely service too! Thank you for the welcome!
I really enjoyed this.
£25 for a Cobra, poppadoms, starter, balti and rice.
Good service, popular place, food hot and tasty. Well worth a try
Stayed in Paddington loads of times and can’t believe I ve never been here before! Had chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken masala, pilau rice and the best…. and I mean… read more the best garlic Nan bread ever! Loaded with garlic a bit crispy didn’t want it to end!! Will definitely return.
Went here as located near my hotel and was a great choice. I ordered a lamb josh, pilau rice and a garlic naan. The curry was beautiful and fresh with… read more a perfect amount of spice the lamb was lovely and tender. The garlic naan was clearly freshly made. Highly recommend a visit.
I’m often in this area staying for work, and although my company provides meals at our hotel for me, I always go here for my curry fix. I’m here a… read more couple times a month & is really good value. The food is delicious can recommend the chicken chilli masala. Also the mushroom Bhaji is amazing. I’ve eaten here on my own many times. It’s always busy & the staff are excellent, so friendly & helpful. Yes, the decor could probably do with an overhaul but expect higher prices to match!
It’s clean & at the back there are notices to say that work is starting imminent. As another reviewer stated if you have mobility issues you may want to avoid. The toilet stairs are extra steep & could be an issue. But the food is great & I have also visited when not on business and my husband and I are in the area.
Our last night in London for a city break as a family and we wanted a meal close to the hotel. We checked out the reviews of this place, that… read more we can see from the front door, and were not disappointed. The staff were great with the kids and the food was lovely. One of the best jalfrezis we have had. Highly recommend this little gem just off the beaten track!
Pretty standard Indian restaurant; it’s not that big so the tables are fairly close together; standard decor! It was Saturday night, and even being by myself I was lucky to… read more get a table.
Service was good, friendly enough but they don’t have too much time for you as they are so busy. However, service was quick and accurate.
I had poppadoms with pickles (obviously); the pickles were a bit thin. Then Chicken Dopiaza with mushroom bhaji, pilau rice and a naan bread. Dopiaza sauce was tasty and thick, but the big chunks of onion were a bit too crunchy for me. The rest was all good.
So a decent meal, not outstanding; I would go there again if in the area.
Very good Indian food. Fresh and delicious. I recommend it. It’s always full of people. Don’t miss it.

Been here twice now and not let down, delicious food at a great price and excellent customer service, would go back.
Called in for an early dinner with my two children. Food was excellent. Probably one of the best Indian meals we have had. Very friendly waiters found us a table… read more quickly in a very busy restaurant. Have to admit I was a bit put off by the very worn carpet and the restaurant is definitely in need of updating, but this only added to the whole dining experience. We had a table at the back of the restaurant and I felt like I was sitting in a kitchen in India eating the most delicious food. Definitely will return next time we’re in London.
Fantastic food in a friendly environment! Will definitely eat here again. I had a medium Chicken Balti and Garlic naan which were cooked perfectly to my taste.

If I had to say anything personally I’d off liked some pinapple pieces or a ring in with the dish
But the taste was awesome
My partner had chicken rogan josh and he loved his
The garlic cheese Nan bread was lovely two
Rice was just rice and chips was fry’s
We ordered a bottle off wine
Personally yet again we’d off like that in a chiller but it was cold
So wasn’t really an issue
Just two little things we’d off liked to make this meal 10/10 outstanding
The pineapple and the wine cooler that’s all
But we would highly recommend this Indian restaurant
The staff was also very polite and friendly xx
Portion was small and pricey with 10% service charged on top. Okay it’s Paddington so £40 for 2 (small) biryanis, a naan and 2 soft drinks is maybe the going… read more price.
The restaurant is tatty inside, paint missing on walls, dirty old ceiling tiles. In need of a good clean and refurb. Smells damp in the back. Had chicken biryani, it was not what a proper Indian biryani should be. It looked and tasted like a mildly spiced rice with some chicken breast chunks added. Would definitely not go back. Good thing is the location but there are lots of other restaurants arond.
We had a dinner for two here, with an appetizer. The service was very fast and professional. The main courses were not too spicy, but full of flavor. Many people… read more queued for the restaurant, but they were able to get a table within 10 minutes.
Fab traditional Indian cooking. Wine was good which often is not in a traditional Indian Restaurant. Excellent staff – kind and good fun to interact with.
