A friend and I shared two thali plates for dinner. It was delicious and great value, and a cosy welcoming environment. Would definitely go back if I’m staying in this… read more area again.
Good environment with good food. Love the Space of the restaurant, food was authentic and deliciou. Love to go again
Welcomed into nice warm environment with a smile. We were advised there was seating at the back but chose to seat just opposite the bar, tables are close together but… read more not a hinderance. Did not have a starter but had some popadoms and chutneys and they were very nice. The vegetable curry was just as requested and the chilli chicken was madress spice level and just right. The Naan though, they were delicious ! Fresh and just nice. Overall a great experience, I would make a point of going back.
Very warm welcome and service.
Very good food.
Decor could do with a bit of an update (and would be very quick and easy to achieve).
Price quite decent.… read more
Like cattle customers were packed into the back of the restaurant, with exactly 30cm separating the tables. It was as if we were all celebrating a farewell party for the same friend.

This was our first experience here and it will certainly be the last.I have never had the displeasure of sampling such hard Lamb at any Indian Restaurant in my life…did not know lamb could be cooked and served so hard and tasteless.I am used to eating perfectly slow cooked lamb that melts in your mouth, here you could loose a tooth trying to eat through it.
My brother’s chicken was acceptable in taste but lacking enough chicken to actually call it a full portion.
The cheese naan was not as expected, just a naan with grated,in melted cheese over it.
The onion Baji was really over cooked inside and found to be dry and tasteless.
The drinks came already poured which I personally do not like, would have liked a can or bottle of coke instead.
The pilau rice was good,no complains here.
Very disappointed and will not return.
P.s
I come from a place which is 4 square miles big and we have over 5 Indian restaurants and takeaways, every single one would beat this place anytime ten times over.
It’s a very nice Restaurant. Very delicious and a very friendly team! I recommend this restaurant. Perfect!
Portion was small and pricey with 10% service charged on top. Okay it’s Paddington so £40 for 2 (small) biryanis, a naan and 2 soft drinks is maybe the going… read more price.
The restaurant is tatty inside, paint missing on walls, dirty old ceiling tiles. In need of a good clean and refurb. Smells damp in the back. Had chicken biryani, it was not what a proper Indian biryani should be. It looked and tasted like a mildly spiced rice with some chicken breast chunks added. Would definitely not go back. Good thing is the location but there are lots of other restaurants arond.
Been coming here for the last three years Fantastic Indian food and staff are very helpful and friendly we will definitely be back again
Food was great, definitely a YES if you are located in Paddington. Very reasonably priced as well as delicious.

Great food and atmosphere. I would recommend visiting this Indian restaurant to any one who is visiting London. It’s fantastic and reasonably priced
Enjoyed a dinner at Mughals while in London. Had read many reviews that said the food was great and we agree. Ordered chicken tikka masala and lamb vindaloo and samosas… read more and all was delicious. We had also read that the restaurant was not the prettiest, I remember one reviewer saying it was “a bit tatty”. I would agree but add that the front room looks ok/average, but we ate in the back room and that was firmly tatty. But if you like good food and choose it over ambiance this place is for you.
We took the luxury menu. The food was excellent especially the chicken tandoori, lamb madras and the butter chicken. If the service wasn’t really slow, I’d give 5 in rating… read more but it took around an hour to get the main courses which was disappointing.
But really worth the visit.
Visited last night with friends. The food was lovely but the surroundings not so . Very cramped, Check the stairs out down to the toilets first before ordering.
I was only in London for one night and wanted an early Indian dinner. My hotel recommended Mughals which was just down the block. They said it gets busy but… read more I was early and had no problem getting a table for one.
The food was delicious. Service was excellent. I would definitely go back the next time I am in London.
We had a wonderful food experience at this small restaurant. The service was excellent and the food SO good! The Balti and Biryani with king prawns was something to remember!
This is a really good indian restaurant. We came here 2 years ago and liked it so much, so on this trip we came here twice in a week! The… read more food is good, service fast and friendly, it is possible to get a table without reservation (probably because service is so fast). I have not eaten anything that was not great. You can even order things that are not on the menu, e.g. Paneer korma 🙂 which is our absolute favorite indian dish! Mint souce for papadams are delicious!
Went last night it was busy busy but we were lucky that the very friendly front of house guy found us a table. That’s the thing that struck me most… read more the friendliest of staff. The decor is tired but there are signs saying a refurb is imminent! It didn’t matter as the food was delicious. I had just chicken tikka which was great and my husband had chicken jalfrezi keema naan and mushroom rice which he really enjoyed. I had some of the rice and naan and that was my opinion too. Well worth it and so reasonably priced well done all.

A great Indian restaurant in Paddington, London.
The food is really great. All the dishes we ordered were just fantastic, especially we loved the kebab and the potato balls… read more that one can dip in a great mint sauce. For main dish we ordered a spicy lamb and chicken tikka, they were both delicious.
Atmosphere in the restaurant was great and the quality of service was extraordinary. Ravi, from the local team, advised us about the dishes and all with smile and patience !
Prices are fair and bottom line it is great value for money.
We will probably visit there soon
Hot food at the correct temperature.
The chicken karahi (extra hot) tastes of herbs and tomatoes I think, but it matches really well with the chicken. The chicken vindaloo… read more is mainly spicey sauce with chicken pieces and potatoes, which is what the menu says. The chicken from the karahi is slightly drier than the chicken from the vindaloo, but both are in good spicy sauce.
Overall, everything is as expected, and it also tastes quite nice. The spicy chicken is good.
I’m often in this area staying for work, and although my company provides meals at our hotel for me, I always go here for my curry fix. I’ve eaten here on my own many times. It’s always busy & the staff are excellent, so friendly & helpful. Yes, the decor could probably do with an overhaul but expect higher prices to match!
It’s clean & at the back there are notices to say that work is starting imminent. As another reviewer stated if you have mobility issues you may want to avoid. The toilet stairs are extra steep & could be an issue. But the food is great & I have also visited when not on business and my husband and I are in the area.
